ABOUT US

The Center for Cranial and Spinal Surgery was founded in the 1980's. In 1988, after completing his neurosurgery residency at George Washington University, Dr. Hope joined Dr. Matthew Smith, the pre-eminent neurosurgeon of Northern Virginia. Over the next five years, Dr. Hope became one of the busiest neurosurgeons in the DC-Metro Region. 

Our practice specializes in all major aspects of cranial and spinal surgery. Our focus is on degenerative and traumatic spinal conditions. We treat spinal injuries, sports injuries, and concussions.

Regarded as experts in our field, we have treated tens of thousands of individuals over the history of our practice. In his thirty years of practice, our lead surgeon, Dr. Don Hope has performed over ten thousand spinal surgeries.
